Study of Campustown Projects for the Sustainable Win-Win Growth of Universities and Communities

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has initiated projects to create campustowns fully utilize university infrastructure. In this study, the first campustown project implemented in South Korea, Korea University-Anam Campustown Project, was evaluated develop sustainable growth plans. Universities have useful infrastructure terms of facilities, equipments, and human resources. There is a recent focus on breaking down boundaries between universities communities share methodology study as follows. Primary indicators win-win plans were identified by literature reviews case studies. applied target area evaluations status area, SWOT analysis, collection stakeholders’ views, in-depth interviews. A commercialization plan verified, while focusing budget, feasibility, administrative procedure. total, 34 spanning five sectors (i.e., start-up, residence, culture, sharing with communities, sustainability) identified. Finally, measures secure implementation capacities master improve sustainability suggested. results are expected contribute creation/development similar at other Korea.
